Vanessa de Haan (who also writes as Zoë Kenyon) is a freelance journalist and editor. She has worked in-house for various media companies – including Channel 5 and the Daily Telegraph – but spent most of her office-based working life at The Spectator magazine, predominantly as a production editor but also contributing features.
In 2005 Vanessa moved temporarily from London to Devon to concentrate on her own writing and never left. She completed the MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and was a columnist on the Western Morning News for almost three years. When not writing, Vanessa is a proofreader and copy editor. She also helped to set up Tribe family life magazine in Devon and Cornwall.
Vanessa has just written her first historical novel set in Scotland, Russia and London during the Arctic convoys of the second world war. She still lives in Devon, now with a husband, three children and various animals.
Her first book CROSSING THE BAR will be published in 2017 by HarperCollins.
