Ben Chu is Economics Editor of BBC’s Newsnight. Before that, he was Economics Editor of the Independent, having joined the newspaper in 2000. He attended Manchester Grammar School and studied history at Jesus College, Oxford.
His first book, CHINESE WHISPERS: WHY EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ABOUT THE WORLD’S MOST POPULOUS NATION IS WRONG, deconstructs seven key myths that underpin the West’s perception of China and was first published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in October 2013. The paperback was published in September 2014.
Ben lives in Surrey with his wife, daughter and son.
